The partnership will be launched with an exhibition at Third Man's headquarters in Nashville, where photography using the special film will be displayed. The exhibit it runs from September 10-16th.
The participating photographers are: Patrick Pantano, who did the covers for the White Stripes' White Blood Cells and Elephant albums; Third Man's Angelina Castillo; and David Swanson, who's worked on tour with White.
"Photography using mechanical means is a beautiful art for," White said in a statement.. "Digital pictures are very portable and easy to make happen, but you can't hold the photo in your hand, or put it in a family album. There's a romantic feeling of pulling a photograph out of a Polaroid camera, holding it in your hands and showing it to others. It can't be replaced or replicated."
