It's no secret that I'm always on the look out for new and emerging bands to feature on Dirty Glitter. My methods of finding new musical gems to feature on my shows is a somewhat complex one. I listen to hundreds of submissions from label reps, bands, PR companies and everyone in between, among other resources online.
A label friend of mine recently introduced me to Musicroamer, which acts like a visual Pandora for discovering new music. While I've been recently introduced to the free service, it has actually been around since 2010.
Here's how it works: Simply type in the name of a band or artist (for my examples below, I used Dead Sara, Ceasefire, Reignwolf and Lovebettie) and in just a matter of a few seconds you get up to 20 different artists you can listen to by simply clicking on their name!
While other sites like Spotify, Pandora, Last.fm do something quite similar, Musicroamer displays the suggestions in a visual infographic.
It's just another way for Dirty Glitter listeners, like you, to find your next favorite band!
Test it out and let me know what you think!
